LYNCHBURG, Va. â€“ Guilford Collegeâ€™s 3200-meter relay team placed fourth
among 11 squads in Fridayâ€™s first day of the Liberty University Open. The
Quakersâ€™ unit of David Cason, Dylan Skinner, Derick Kosgei and John Michael
Chelminski had the top finish among four ODAC schools with a time of
8:12.84. It was also the fastest NCAA Division III team in the race.
Individually, the Quakersâ€™ Chad Norton placed sixth among 17 contestants in
the 5,000 meters with a time of 15:52.54. He had the top Division III finish
in the race.
Guilford’s Judia Holton threw the weight 9.10 meters (29â€™ 10.25â€), which
placed 31st among 39 throwers.
