Boys Game

Southwest 16 17 10 22 – 65
Ragsdale 16 12 19 13 – 60

In a physical, back and forth game, Southwest came back in the fourth
quarter taking the lead on a Jordan Hanner three pointer to take a 53 – 51
lead with 3:10 to go and went on to record the 65 – 60 win. The game saw a
total of 16 ties and lead changes. After a tied up first quarter, Southwest
took a 5 point lead to the break and Ragsdale established a 4 point lead
after three. Southwest tied the game up at 50 with four and a half minutes
left in the game, then took the lead for good at the three ten mark.

There were a total of 46 fouls called in the game and Ragsdale had three
players foul out in the fourth quarter. Already playing short handed as
Benaiah Wise was not dressed, Ragsdale just could not overcome the foul
situation down the stretch. Both teams played hard, but Southwest’s
quickness and athleticism was the difference as they pressured the Tigers
full court the entire game. Ragsdale battled, but came up short.

Southwest was led by Jordan Hanner with 22 points. Terrell Leach had 19 and
Andrew Bostic was also in double figures with 10. Southwest moves to 13 – 4
and remains undefeated in the Piedmont Triad at 6 – 0.

Ragsdale was led in scoring by Sophomores Eric Carter and Sharwyn McGee who
both had 17 points. Tyquan Roberts was also in double figures with 12.
Ragsdale falls to 8 – 11 and 3 – 4 in the Piedmont Triad.

  1. It’s Zena and she was out on the court helping her team to victory. Zena doesn’t have to always lead the team because
SW has many capable players to lead the team as was proven last night. Zena is able to do more out on the court than just score.

  2. Cowgirl Parent:

Thanks for the info. Good to know all is OK. Use to seeing her name in the Lime light!
Was wondering if she had been injured! Cool beans.
