EG girls run early and win 59-38 over Western Alamance: EG at SWG tonight

Eastern Guilford Lady Cats got off to a fast start, 23-2 in the first period and
sat the whole starters down the entire second quarter and all except two minutes
into the fourth as they beat conference foe Western Alamance 59-38 to improve to
16-4 and 10 -2 in conference play. The Wildcats were led by senior Miranda
Jenkins whom finished with 20 points, 9 rebs, 6 stls, 4 assists, 3 blocks and
Junior Karima Jackson whom hustle play netted 11 points and 5 steals. Senior
Courtney Torraine did an outstanding job in the paint by grabbing 9 rebounds and
scoring 5 points. Freshmen reserve Morgan Lilly came off the bench to match
her career high of 8 points. The Wildcats must now face one of the States top
talented 4A teams in Southwest Guilford on the road in a Wednesday night
matchup that begins at 6 pm at Southwest Guilford.
