Greensboro, NC — Daren Dexter (Sarasota, FL/Riverview) scored a career high 37 points as Greensboro College defeated Emory & Henry College, 106-104 in three overtime periods, on Wednesday night. Dexter made 14-26 field goals and converted 8-11 free throws for The Pride. Box score
Freshman Damian Dixon (Tampa, FL/Wharton) contributed 20 points and 10 rebounds for the home team. T.J. Holman (Raleigh, NC/Wake Forest Rolesville) added 11 for GC.

Trailing 104-103, Dixon made an old fashioned three-point play with eight seconds left for the game’s last basket. A wild shot by Josh Cunningham did not draw iron with two seconds left.

Terrance Grigg and Malcolm Green both collected 23 points for E&H.

The Pride improved to 11-8 and the Wasps fell to 4-15.

GC hosts Ferrum on Saturday at 4 p.m.
