Minus Duncan Greensboro College still wins on the road in Raleigh: Pride women now (19-0)

Raleigh, N.C. — Nikki Wilborn (Graham NC/Graham) had a game high 24 points as #13/16 Greensboro College beat Meredith, 72-54, on Wednesday night. GC improved to 19-0 and 13-0 in USA South play. Box score
GC got the win without leading scorer Danielle Duncan (Greensboro, NC/Ragsdale). She caught the flu and did not make the road trip.

Wilborn was 7-19 from the field, made four three-pointers and all six of her free throws. Bianca Richburg (Hillsborough, NC/Orange County) tallied 15 points and had 12 boards. Jada Alvarado (Burlington, NC/River Mill Academy) had a game-best 15 rebounds and added nine points.

Greensboro had a 34-21 halftime advantage. The Pride led by as many as 26 points. Greensboro out-rebounded the Angels 47-35, but Meredith held the slight shooting percentage advantage at 35% to 32%.

Meredith (4-13, 1-11) was led by Megan Rahn who had 15 points and 12 rebounds. Ashley Hudson led all Meredith scorers with 16 points.

The Pride hosts Ferrum at 2 p.m. on Saturday.

  1. Great job by Coach Tuggle and the girl’s! 19-0 is very impressive. Keep it up. There are a lot of local girls on that team so go out to a game and support the Pride!
