Kathleen Strandberg(Page HS) joins Greensboro College women’s golf program

Kathleen Strandberg has been named women’s golf assistant coach at Greensboro College. The Pride will sponsor its first women’s golf season in 2011-12.

Strandberg is Director of the LPGA/USGA Girls Golf Club that serves Greensboro and Winston-Salem. Additionally, she is a teaching professional at the Precision Golf School in Greensboro and the assistant director of the Peggy Kirk Bell Junior Girls Golf Tour.

Strandberg played intercollegiate golf at North Carolina State University. She served as co-captain in the 2009-10 season for the nationally ranked Wolfpack. She graduated from NC State with a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

“We are very excited to have Kathleen join our program,” said GC Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach Dirk Fennie. “Her character, personality, and coaching ability makes her a valuable addition to our golf program”.

A native of Greensboro, Strandberg attended Page High School.
