Greensboro, N.C. — Nikki Wilborn (Graham NC/Graham) certainly showed up for her senior day. The Greensboro College guard came within one assist of a quadruple-double as The Pride defeated Peace College, 69-32, on Saturday. Box score

With the win GC improved to 23-0 and 16-0 in the USA South. Greensboro has 15 more wins than last season, which is a new NCAA Division III record.

Wilborn scored 24 points (22 in the first half), recorded 11 steals, grabbed 11 rebounds and dished nine assists.

“I couldn’t be happier for anyone,” said GC Head Coach Randy Tuggle. “Nikki has been an absolute joy to coach. She has tremendous heart and determination. We needed to adjust some things this year for the good of the team, and she didn’t bat an eye. It’s great to see her succeed like this.”

She was 9-14 from the field and made four 3-pointers. The triple-double was Wilborn’s second straight.

“Erveryone knew it was my senior day and I think my team helped me out,” Wilborn said. “The games ahead of us will be hard, but we’re focused on keeping the momentum going.”
