  6. Congratz to the Dudley Lady Panthers: Conference Champs!

Congratz as well to the Smith Eagles: Conference Champs -boys. Way to play the game.

  7. congrats to our lady panthers!!!! we are #1…

.i don’t understand what the page girls coach was thinking.

she has been coaching for years and I am convinced she didn’t want to win. you fight fire with fire…she let her biggest gun sit the bench…..against us you need to come out firing on all cylinders….we murdered page on the boards….go dez

  8. Caldwell Eagle Women scored 20 points in the 2nd quarter, hitting 4 (four) 3 pointers I believe, to beat Salem Baptist by 5 or so in the TAC conference semi-finals. Tough assignment in the finals this afternoon @ 4:30pm against Carolina Friends.

Caldwell men were too much inside for Carolina Friends and won 57-44. Get a 3rd shot at Westchester @ 6:30pm in the conference finals. Both games @ Burlington Christian.

  9. @ the fan/stan—-
What are you talking about? It was a wasted night! Most people I talked to felt they were donned with this game. Did you have anything to do with scheduling? All that was missing was the coaches wearing basketball shoes. You all playing any more games or has the SEC eliminated your travel budget? I would tell you to call me from your cellphone, but unless someone paid the bill, they have been cut off. The bottom line is this—-next year other coaches will be coaching, players will be playing, and what will you be doing?

  10. I got to attend the Eastern Guilford girls versus Northern Guilford girls game last night and I must admit that it was one of the finest girls games that I have ever watched. It was a game of utilizing nice basic skills versus one team pressing another team all night long because they are more athletic and trying to run the scores up. I saw back door cuts. I saw nice selected type jump shots by both teams. I saw good foul shot shooting. Good block shots. Timely steals and good sportsmanship by both teams. I saw two marquee players whom led their teams the way leaders should do. Jenkins and Coffer both hit crucial shots and they had the where with all to know how to keep their teammates focused. The coaches Eastern’s Gunn and Northern’s Furlough both had nice game plans and made great adjustments. The fans were great as they both cheered on their respective teams and the referees did a great job of calling the game. I do not believe anyone should have left mad. Of course everyone wants their favorite team to win which is normal. This was a game the way a championship game should have been played. I am glad that I decided to go watch this particular game.

  11. Thanks ball fan for your compliments. Sitting on the bench watching your girls execute to the best of their ability and pulling together at the right time will be one of the finest moments I will always remember about this young team. They have a true leader in Miranda, but the nice part has been their dedication to the TEAM and their willingness to continue to learn and make themselves better. NG has an excellent team, excellent players all the way around with the Coffer sisters and their #30, and also in Kim Furlough. I think both teams truly respect one another which made for the classic matchup that last night was. Congrats to both teams and Good Luck to not only us and the Nighthawks, but also to Williams, Rockingham, and Eastern Alamance as we enter sectional play next week. Let’s represent the Mid State 3A well!

  12. just curious..are you implying that because a team has good athletes they are not fundamental?..Northern and Eastern match up well. You play to ur strengths..if u are faster u run..if you are bigger u post up…Look back at some of the two teams games u named in the last couple of years..they have blown past some that they have played. They match up well and I am sure it was a great game to watch
