On the Field and in the Classroom, Eric Davidson(Western Guilford HS) and Kevin Littlejohn(Dudley HS) excel and now they’re headed to the next level……

Eric Davidson(Western Guilford)….
Eric pledged his Football committment to join the Eagles at North Carolina Central University Feb 4th 2011…..

Even better news came to Eric this week when he received a letter from the enrollment management at NCCU granting him a “Special Chancellors Cycle
of Success Scholarship” which includes a full four year scholarship in recognition of his scholastic achievements. Eric will also be in “The University Honors Program” at NCCU majoring in Pre-Med/Biology.

Eric Davidson was a starting runnigback for the WG Hornets this past fall and he plans to hit the field for the N.C. Central Eagles, in August…..Congratulations to Eric on a job well done, on the field and in the classroom….

On February 7, 2011, Kevin Littlejohn II(Dudley HS) received an academic/athletic scholarship to play football at Mars Hill College, Mars Hill, NC.

Mars Hill College is a member of the South Atlantic Conference (SAC). Kevin was recruited by Mars Hill to play safety. His intended major will be Biology.

Congratulations to Kevin Littlejohn for job well done on the field and in the classroom….

  2. It is so refreshing to see some young men who not only are good athletes, but also realized the importance of academics. Andy thanks so much for highlighting these two young men
    for their achievements in the class room. This is some thing that is unfortunately forgotten with all the hype about recruiting and playing at the next level. For some schools the only numbers that matter are how many kids they can say they got recruited.
    The more important numbers are the grades that will take these young men and women
    much much further than just playing sports. We need more of these kind of stories and we need to continue to recognize these kind of achievements.
    Congrats to these young men and all the others who not only can do it on the field, but those who can do it in the class room as well.
