  1. Yeah, I went back and double-checked it by the NCHSAA site and at (23-3) Union Pines is the #2 team from the Cape Fear Valley Conference and Western Harnett, the team that just knocked off Eastern Guilford was #1….NG #1 Mid-State and Union Pines a #2 from the Cape Fear Valley and that makes the Northern Guilford Nighthawks the host team on Friday night….Good job Nighthawks, winning that regular season was crucial for you, as you get the home court advantage throughout the Sectionals….Again, good job….

  2. The Dudley/Butler winner should win the states. It is stupid that these 2 teams are meeting in a sectional game instead of the finals. Dudley’s only lose was to a national ranked top 20 team in DC. I am convinced that the best 4 girls teams in the state are #1 Providence Day (from Charlotte), #2 ORMA, #3 Dudley, and #4 Butler. I hope Dudley at least proves me correct on Friday.

  3. The Whirlies played a very inspired road game tonight at SW Guilford. The boys lead wire to wire and pulled away big at the end. They were very agressive offensively and pushed the ball inside against the bigger Cowboys fouling 3 of the SW players out while several others had 4 fouls.

Second season continues in Winston-Salem on Friday……Go Big Blue

  4. at elast the whirlies could get a fouled called against the other team..the last several games its been for dudley to get calls in their own house!!! Great job ladies to stay focused!!

  5. go northeast yall deserve to win because when everybody doubted yall… things came together and now look what happened.. Last night we attended the game against northern and we saw the most school spirit from the students then we have seen in a long time… Way to go rams taken down the nighthawks..
