Charlotte Bobcats trade Gerald Wallace to Portland Trailblazers: Sounds like George Shinn is running the team again

CLICK HERE to check out the trade news that hit just after the 3pm NBA trade deadline…..

The Bobcats trade away Wallace, who was argueably the team’s best player and you have to think that there go the playoff chances for this season….

Wallace gone in exchange for a couple of first round draft picks and that sounds pretty good for down the road, but as the great George Allen once said, “the future is NOW”…

The real fans don’t care as much about down the road, they want a winner now and they’re getting tired of starting over….

Maybe George Shinn is running this team again…..If patience is a virtue, some might say that trades like this are a rip-off, or a screw job by a screwball……..

Kiss them playoffs goodbye for this year, as Mike Hogewood used to say, and Mike Jordan, what is up with this franchise?????

Wallace was “The Man”……

  1. Wallace might have been the best player in the history of Charlotte professional basketball. And they let him slip through their fingers and he’s gone. SAD!

  2. They got draft picks and possibly a lottery pick for themselves. as well. I hope they dont screw it up.

  3. I think the Bobcats made a good move. Wallace was a good player but not a “great” player. He was dependable but not someone that you would go out of your way to see play. Charlotte has not had those type of players since the Hornets had guys such as Larry Johnson, Gill and Mourning. You must get a player that brings the level of energy and expectation that something outstanding could happen tonight and you do not want to miss it. You need that player that can put together a 30 pt and 40 pt game in back to back nights when needed. I am not sure who that potential player in college may be but I hope that the Bobcats can get them.
