NWG girls put a scare into Matthews Butler and now Dudley gets the next shot at unbeaten Bulldogs

The Northwest Guilford girls led Matthews Butler 15-14, after one quarter on Wednesday night and the (29-0) Bulldogs did recover to beat the NWG Vikings 50-40, but not before the Vikings gave the Bulldogs a major wakeup call….Now tomorrow night the Dudley Panthers get the next shot at the girls defending State 4-A Champs at Butler, after Butler came to Dudley, one year ago this Friday and topped the Lady Panthers on the way to their State Title….The Panthers have a crack at some payback on Friday evening and from the old school days of coaching, I was thinking this morning, if maybe Dudley coach Frank McNeil ought to give NWG coach Darlene Joyner a phone call and ask Coach Joyner what the Vikings did early on in the game at Butler, to put themselves in a position to leave out of there with the upset last night…..Just some old school thinking and maybe a call to the local coach wouldn’t be all that bad of an idea……

When you CLICK HERE, you can get an idea of what happened down at Butler last night and what might be coming up when the Dudley Panthers hit Matthews to face the Bulldogs on Friday……
