    Grimsley has to be placed ahead of Page.

    Page boys were eliminated at home two nights ago in the second round. Grimsley won two road games and is still playing tonight in the third round.

    Winners move up and losers move down. Elementary Poll Logistics My Dear Watson

    Not many teams had a second round opponent as talented as Mount Tabor.

    Tabor, in any other year would have been a 1 seed.

    Not making any excuses, Page should have won the game. Too many fouls on made baskets by the Pirates. Tabor converted the three point play at the line.

    However, Grimsley is not as good as Page. They lost to Grimsley early in the season on 11 for 17 shooting from three by the Whirlies.

    That shooting performance, I don’t think, was ever duplicated the rest of the year by Grimsley.

    That being said. Good luck to the remaining Guilford County teams moving forward.

    p.s. Page did move down in the poll. I think they were first in the poll not long ago.

    I saw Coach Kent at the Grimsley game tonight and he was sitting in the stands. Coach Corbett was on the bench in the third round of the playoffs.

    Winners move up and losers move down.

    While I agree that Grimsley really did well — Page is still a better team and here are my reasons;
    1. Page beat Grimsley very solidly.
    2. While Grimsley beat Southwest and made it to the second round- Southwest was without their best player Jordan
    Hanner.
    3. Page played Mt. Tabor who has split games with Regan and Regan is considered one of the top teams in the state.

    While the Grimsley players and coaching staff did a great job this year — they still aren’t better than Page.
    In the end though we should celebrate all the kids. Hats off to all of them for all their hard work.
