SALEM, Va. — Two Guilford College students received All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) basketball honors Wednesday night. Junior Jazlyn Gibbs earned Second Team All-ODAC, and freshman Gabby Oglesby was an honorable mention All-ODAC pick. The all-conference teams and special award winners were selected by the league’s head coaches and recognized at the ODAC’s annual banquet at the Salem Civic Center.

Gibbs, a 5-9 guard, has started 24 of 25 games and leads the team in scoring (15.0 ppg.). She also averages 1.4 steals per game, which ranks second on the team, and 2.3 assists per outing, Guilford’s third-highest mark. Gibbs stands seventh among the league’s scoring leaders through games of Feb. 20 and her 32.4 minutes per game ranks fourth in the ODAC. Gibbs paced Guilford’s offense 12 times and has scored in double figures 20 times. She won the ODAC’s Player of the Week prize Dec. 13 and hit for a season-high 24 points in the Quakers’ 85-77 loss to Roanoke College Jan. 29.

Oglesby, a 6-0 forward, has played in all 25 games this season, starting 13. She leads the team in rebounds (7.8 rpg.), which also ranks fifth in the ODAC. Her school-record 58 blocks this season work out to 2.3 per game, which stands second in the league. Oglesby is also second on the team in scoring (11.4 ppg.) and has the league’s fourth-highest field-goal percentage (.470). She has scored in double figures 15 times with a team-high six double-doubles. Oglesby also led the team in rebounds 13 times.
