Bob Lowe resigns Greensboro College post

Bob Lowe, Assistant Athletic Director for Communications, has resigned from his position at Greensboro College effective March 11, 2011.

Lowe began at Greensboro College in the fall of 1999 providing publicity for 16 intercollegiate athletic teams. He was promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Communications in 2009.

Lowe currently serves on the College Sports Information Directors (CoSIDA) Board of Directors and the New Media/Technology committee. He has received numerous writing awards over the years, and continues to be published in the CoSIDA Digest and on CoSIDA.com.

A native of Whitter, Ca., Lowe helped create the North Carolina Collegiate Sports Information Association (NCCSIA), which has honored nearly 1,000 “All State” student-athletes. Lowe was also instrumental in creating the Greensboro College athletics web site and PrideNet/Pride TV.

“Bob has certainly left his mark on the Greensboro College athletic program,” said Pride Athletic Director Jean Lojko. “He has been on the cutting edge of many technological advances in the sports information arena. Bob leaves our sports information department in great shape.”

Greensboro College will immediately begin a search to fill the position.
