High School Baseball Bulletin Board for 3/8/11(Jamestown and Friendly Road Inn area look tempting)

High Point Christian at Ragsdale 5pm(Jamestown)
Southern Guilford at High Point Andrews 5pm
WS Reagan at High Point Central 5pm
Eastern Guilford at Eastern Alamance 6pm
Northern Guilford at Burlington Williams 6pm
Oak Ridge at Southwestern Randolph 6:30pm
Grimsley at Western Guilford 7pm(Back behind the old Friendly Road Inn)
Smith at Southeast Guilford 7pm
Morehead at Western Alamance 7pm

*****Good lineup today with some early-afternoon action and then some more games heating up(we hope) at around 7pm……Ragsdale-HPCA might be a game that we need to check out. Could we see JB, Jon Bethea on the hill for the Cougars(HP Christian) and they do have a Shoemaker in their lineup(Andrew) that has been playing well….Ragsdale is (2-0) to start the year, or at least they were at last check(No report on Impact from this past weekend) and we will see how it rolls today in Jamestown….

Might be time to visit Western Guilford for the Grimsley-WG matchup….Our word on young, but big DJ Reader is that he will still be out of the Whirlies lineup for about 2 more weeks and we wish him a speedy/speedier recovery….Who will Grimsley bring to the table tonight? Haven’t seen Quito Carrig’s name yet, but we will and will Western look to work some early season magic on the hill with another Marrero start??? Both teams are in at (0-2) and could use a Metro 4-A boost……

Do we have other key games that we should be tracking today???

If we can get in two, we will have it here for you later on tonight….All of our readers that can send us info, let it rip our way tonight in the comment box, or at andy@greensborosports.com…..

  1. We need to have a fish fry out at Western Guilford one night before the baseball game to re-create the feeling of the old Friendly Road Inn…..Bring on Bob Shaw, Linda Shaw, Anne Shaw, Barbra Shaw, Mary Shaw, Mark Shaw, Kathy Shaw and all the Shaw with slaw…

The old Friendly Road Inn had some of the best flounder, hushpuppies and tea that I have ever tasted/seen…..Man that was good eats….

  2. Yes I remember my son playing at the lower field as a Mustang player. You could smell the hushpuppies and couldn’t wait for the game to end. Maybe a fish fry is in order after all!

  3. When you see Frank, tell him to bring the plates and if he runs into Larry Craven or Max Meeks, ask them to bring the knives and forks…..

A good crew will be attending…..If we can just get Kendrick and his dad Shaun Shaw on the list and they can bring the Sierra Mist……

  4. Congrats to Grimsley JV they improve to 2-1 with a road win over Western Guilford.

  5. Hpca beat Ragsdale 6-1 ..Justin Morrision pitched a really good game to help the cougars go into Ragsdale to get the win
