High School Baseball Bulletin Board for 3/12/11
Coming up Today(Saturday):
Wesleyan vs. DH Conley at the USA Baseball Complex in Cary….
Southwest Guilford at Glenn 11am
(This game ended up getting postponed since SWG had the girls basketball game going on today and it was better served that the school as a whole, turned their attentions toward Chapel Hill, N.C. and the Lady Cowgirls quest, for a State Championship.)

That is what we were hearing….One of our readers drove over to Glenn at 11am to see the game and he said the field looked OK to him…..He then drove over to Southwest Guilford and they were getting in some baseball practice before leaving to go watch the basketball game either Live or by way of the TV……
What I don’t get is how some teams could play on Friday night and others couldn’t get a game in on Saturday……Saturday was a very nice day and with the wind and the sunshine?????
Who knows? Maybe someone from SWG will check in or weigh in…..When Dale Iijames was at Glenn, you could play a game on that field right after a monsoon had moved through here……If the field was OK on Saturday, why couldn’t they have started the game at 10am and they would have been done by noon….We placed a call to Glenn on Friday and the main office at Glenn said the game would be Saturday at 11am…..
Makes for some topical discussion as we head into next week with SWG at NWG on Friday night…….NWG has a couple of non-cinference games leading ujp to that one on Friday, not sure about SWG……
I made it over to Glenn and the field looked in good shape and SW did practice Saturday.
