Freshman sensation Harrison Barnes with 40 points to pace the Heels, as they head into Sunday’s finals at the Greensboro Coliseum…..
As far as the tournment goes, this is the best freshman effort we have seen from the Heels, since back in the days of Phil Ford….Ford didn’t score that many points, but he did so many different things for the Tar Heels, from his point guard spot back in 1975……..
Again, a great effort by Barnes and he Heels to come back, after being down double-digits in the second half, on both Friday and Saturday….Enjoy Barnes while you can, he is playing his way right into the NBA……He will be a Top-Five pick in this summer’s draft…..Harrison Barnes on the way to the NBA, at the end of this college season and that is exactly what I was saying at the start of this season, but nobody was listening then, but they are listening now……I got somebody’s attention with these special addtions of the ACC Notebook……
