  1. Some of the High Point Central fans were talking about wanting to make a trade to send Kendrick, JB Burrito and Big A-#45 to Southern Guilford in exchange for Zack Canada….Just some fans talking and not the coaches…..

A lot of good fans and loyal fans at Southern Guiford….I think Mr. Short has been coming to games down there for many years and it was good to see him and Mr. C at the game today……..

  2. I agree that there are good people down at Southern Guilford and the women are mighty nice at the concession stand up there beside the track….I ran up there and then I ran back down to the baseball field and watched a real fine ball game. The bathrooms are a little crowded with all the ball games going on at one time and sometimes I have to hit the school building or the gulley across the street but that’s OK because the Southern women do some awfully good cooking and their drinks and candies and snacks are the best in the South….Good luck to all their teams from your old friend JD Higgins and I’ll see all of you again at the rodeo where I tend to eat too many of those ham biscuits and have made a jackass out of myself in years past and that’s nearly every year for me….Remember Southern folks are the best! Mighty fine hospitality.

  3. I am a graduate of Southern Guilford and the things I learned from Coach Siler and others from there have stuck with me for a lifetime. It is so good to see our school get some positive recognition and for all the Southern grads from the past we say this is the best spot in the County. The beauty of the Southern Guilford campus can not be duplicated and we have so much to be proud of when we look back at our sports history. To the young men that are representing us today, I say the best is yet to come and if you finish your career at Southern with Coach Brown and the other strong leaders that you have there, you will be better for it.

Long live the Indians and the Storm of Southern Guilford and Sumner High Schools.

  4. I wish the concession stand was open yesterday. I could of used a hot dog and drink while I watched the game.

  5. JD it was good to see you at the game yesterday, I have to agree with you the people at Southern are some of the finest around.

  6. As my long lost uncle, J.D. George Custer used to say, “I shall return to the Eye of the Storm”. Gentlemen and ladies you need to be on the look out. You will see me again at your fields. For those of you that saw me there yesterday, God Bless you all. JD has left the building, but he shall return.
