HS Baseball Bulletin Board for 3/19/11

Games on tap for today(Saturday):

Greensboro Day School at Northeast Guilford 1pm….NEG(6-1) and riding a 6-game winning streak since their opening day loss to Western Alamance…NEG could go with any number of pitchers with Paula, Davis, McCann(Caleb), and others being avaiable….Colon threw on Tuesday at WG and Phillips went for the Rams last night at SWR……Davis and Caleb McCann should both now be our King of the Hill Home Run leaders with right at 4 each dingers on the season…..

Oak Ridge at Glenn 1pm…..Glenn is the team to beat these days, as the Bobcats have been on the prowl….(Maybe one loss for the ‘Cats and that might have been to Bishop McGuinness, in the first week of the season…..ORMA(2-4) on the way into Kernersville…

Morehead at Eastern Guilford 4pm…..Both teams snared one-run wins last night, with EG topping Rockingham County 3-2 and Morehead easing past Eastern Alamance, 8-7…..Makes for a very even matchup on the way to the park, down off of Highway 70/Old Burlington Road….Make a left at the water tower if you are coming from toward town, and then hang a right down by the little white church…..EG is (3-3) as play gets under way today….
