Update:
Final…..
Virginia Commonwealth University 72
Florida State University 71
OT
VCU over FSU in OT tonight…..I’m not sure we even know what their nickname is…..You have the Richmond Spiders, Old Dominion Monarchs and the VCU Commoners????? We’ll look closer at this one tomorrow……

Kentucky just knocked off the Tournament’s overall #1 seed Ohio State 62-60 and now the Wildcats will meet North Carolina on Sunday at 5:05 in the Elite Eight with a berth in the Final Four on the line and at stake Sunday afternoon…..North Carolina vs. Kentucky and Brandon Knight…

Tonight:
North Carolina 81
Marquette 63

Newark, N.J. (NCAA Tournament – Regional

Kentucky 62
Ohio State 60

Last night also known in some circles as Thursday night:
Arizona 93
Duke 77

The only #1 Seed left in the NCAA Tournament is the Kansas Jayhawks…..Ohio State gone, Duke gone, Pittsburgh gone…..All gone, but Kansas….. And Kentucky is still in the tournament, even though they were predicted to go and stay longer last year, when the Wildcats still had John Wall…..

Heels and Kentucky on Sunday and North Carolina defeated the ‘Cats earlier in this season, at Chapel Hill in the Dean Dome and come Sunday they will meet again in Newark, New Jersey of all places…..

  1. I’m hearing VCU Rams. Is that the mascot and the nickname? Also seeing they have Jamie Skeen as one of their main/primary players and he used to be at Wake Forest and Wake sure could have used a kid with his type of talent this year….Deacs should have never let that guy get away…Look at what he is up to now for VCU……

  2. FSU Derwin Kitchen cost them game! Chance to win in regulation and walks ball up court and waits to less than 5 secs to start final play. Of course, they dont even get a shot off. in OT, FSU up 1 w/ VCU throwing ball in, Kitchen plays outside his man and gets beat on inbounds layup. FSU brings ball up and has open baseline shot but passes w/ less 1 sec and they dont get shot off. Terrible end of game clock management. They would have given Jayhawks a tough game with their size and D.
