Wil Myers(Wesleyan Academy) finished up Spring Training last Thursday…. This wasn’t an overly eventful baseball spring training, he was just working on his hitting and outfield skills. Wil did get to play in two big league spring training games, which was very exciting, getting to play against some of the big leaguers.

Wil will start his season this Thursday in Springdale, Arkansas with the Kansas City Royals’ Double-A team, the NW Arkansas Naturals. The word is, that Wil is really excited to start competitive play and get the season rolling. The Naturals play in the TEXAS league, so he will not be coming close to home to play this season, as he did last year when he made a visit to the Triad to face the W-S Dash.

Good luck to Wil Myers this season and we will be checking out those Kansas City Royals box scores over the next two years to see his name pop-up there and hopefully it will be full of base hits and not an abundance of pop-ups…..
