  2. On the NG-Burlington Wiliams game, maybe it was from early this morning or the game might have been played on Saturday….Both teams are in the High Point Central Easter Tournament and we will have to see if they might meet there….I would doubt it since they are in the same conference and there are plenty of non-conference opportunities awaiting the teams in High Point….Coach Morgan(HPC) and AD Cook have done a fine job assembling the schools for this tournament….HPC-Grimsley at 5pm today…..School does not let until the regular time today, so the Spring Break/Easter Vacation officially begins at the close of school today……There is a game at High Andrews today and I think that one will feature the HPA Red Raiders vs. the Dudley Panthers…..

None of the game could have started during the school day today, but there is chance they could have tried to get a game in before school and with the lights you could get in a game before the first bell if you got an early start…..

We’ll keep tracking and one thing is for certain, Austin Harden is one of the top pitchers in our area this season……Also, Nick Taylor is having himself a very nice year over at ORMA…….

  3. Northern did not play Monday. I do not know where that came from. I understand Justin Smith has done the work on getting Hardin in college.=, and Kenny Carlyle has really helped him develop into a good pitcher. Does anyone know what the Paomino team is going to look like for the summer. Heard it was going to be made up of a lot of high school seniors and college freshmen.

  4. People need to quit hating on Hardin, puts in the work and its paying off congrats Austin. Oh yeah he throws side arm alot less stress on the arm so i guess Tommy John might just have to take a rain check on meeting Hardin. Good luck kid!

  5. Hardin hasn’t even pitched against anyone good this season. He’s been picking up his wins against the worst teams in the confrence.

  6. WOW! Never was a teammate of Hardin but as far as putting the work in i saw him almost every day of the winter WORKING.Even though i dont recall anyone talking about the next level i do know of a very good D1 recruit that went down k’s 3 times to Hardin didnt even sniff him.Give credit where credit is do hes having a good HIGH SCHOOL season.

  7. I have seen and followed Hardin since the 9th grade. He has come a long way thanks to Kenny Carlyle and Justin and Johnny Smith. He is not overpowering by any means by works the outside corner well with what I call a slurve. If he can hit his spots he is tough to hit , but if he hangs it out over the middle of the plate he will get hurt. It all boils down to location, not velocity and movement. All you arm chair coaches who think velocity is everything are wrong. Movement and location is the key to pitching..

  8. I think some of you need to lay off the Hardin kid. Don’t know him but have seen him pitch twice. Not sure if he plays after college or not but at least compliment him on his HS play. He’s worked hard. Let him enjoy the fruits of his labors. Keep in mind we are talking about a kid.
