Greensboro Grasshoppers at Greenville tonight on a nice, long winning streak and the team record for the club that calls NewBridge Bank Park their home, is nine wins in a-row and that goes back to 2007, shortly after the team made their way from the old War Memorial Stadium to downtown Greensboro, where the Hoppers were born and have been raised, since that transition took place….

The Hoppers current mark stands at eight and they will try and make it nine straight tonight and here is the background check on the team and what they are looking at, going into the game tonight against the Greenville Drive, in South Carolina….

Every time a team does something monumental it strikes up just like a world-record with me, but as we settle down and look at the research, courtesy of Amanda Williams, Greensboro Grasshoppers, this is word on “The Streak”….

The longest winning streak for Greensboro was 9 straight games between July 19 and July 27 in 2007 *
– The longest winning streak for SAL(South Atlantic League) is 25 games, (Spartanburg ’66)

*********MiLB trackable stats only go to 2005, so 9 games is definitely the longest streak for this stadium(First Horizon Stadium/NewBridge Bank Park.*********
