With NCAA rules getting tough, times are getting tight for Bob Gibbons:He’s just a looking for a home to host his basketball tournament with No More UNC, STATE or DUKE…

New NCAA rules are in place, that say UNC, STATE and DUKE can no longer host any of the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions showcase basketball events….The NCAA feels this creates an unfair advantage for UNC, N.C. State and Duke, to bring all these kids on their campuses and now that Gibbons can’t take his tournaments to Chapel Hill, Raleigh or Durham any more, what’s he going to do???

“I don’t know what we are going to do,” Gibbons said. “I’ve got teams that have already purchased their airplane tickets to come. This really yanks the rug from under us.”

The Bob Gibbons 20th Annual Tournament of Champions is due up on Memorial Weekend, with 128 young men coming in and to find out what has happened and what they might be doing next, now that UNC, N.C. State and Duke are off-limits, CLICK HERE to get the inside, from inside the News and Observer, in Raleigh…..

128 teams, not players. The NCAA is getting out of control. The only people losing out here are the kids. Bob Gibbons has done so much to advance college basketball and this is how they repay him?
