Mitchell Oates(High Point Christian Acadey) committed to Hillsborough CC, a JUCO in Tampa, Florida today.

He will play for Byron Samuels who is a former NCAA Division I head coach and a Winston-Salem native.

Oates started out at Page High School and then made the move over to play for Brandon Clifford at High Point Christian Academy at the end of his junior year…..Mitch was one of the top private school guards in the state and he was called upon to take and hit the key clutch shots in almost all of the HPCA Cougars big game this season…..

Congrats to Mitch Oates for getting the shot and for keeping his basketball career going, as he heads to Tampa, Florida this fall……Oates was one of the best guards to ever come out of Guilford County and now we get to see what he can do on the collegiate level……

We will have more on the Mitch move south, coming your way tomorrow at Greensborosports.com………..
