  1. Anyone got the final on NWG-WS Parkland? At one point Parkland was up 8-3 in the top of the 7th at NWG….

Conference looking like Glenn(11-1) Regular Season Champ with SWG #2 at (8-4), NWG and East Forsyth tied at for third at (7-5), Ragsdale 5th at (6-6), WS Parkland 6th at (2-10) and HP Central 7th at (1-11)……

    Any news?

  2. II believe Orth got the win from the ER since SWG had the lead (3-0) when he left the game. Both Geoghegan and Andrew Madden did a great job in relief in what was an emotional situation. Big win for the Cowboys against a very good East team.

  3. Westchester CD beat Calvary 11-1 in 5 innings WP Kelly Patram Ground rule double HR’s by Terrance Hearst (9) and Markel Johnson (2)

  4. Im hearing he is doing fine,at least that’s what I was told, hopefully it is correct.Hope he makes full recovery.

  5. TO Cowboy – Definitely hope Matt is doing OK after his injury last night. That was definitely a tough situation and put a damper on what was a terrific ball game.

In answer to your question about the winning pitcher, I think Andy is correct. In High School which are scheduled for seven innings, a starting pitcher must pitch at least four innings and leave with the lead to be credited with the win. If the starting pitcher leaves with the lead, but does not pitch four innings and more than one relief pitcher is used with the team maintaining the lead, the winning pitcher is determined by the official scorer as the “most effective” relief pitcher. In this game, that would be Geoghegan who pitched 2 1/3 innings, stiking out 6 and not allowing a baserunner.

  6. Matt Orth doing OK today according to his Facebook following….The word he left on Facebook was that he was released from the hospital last night and he left with a few stitches in his ear, but other than the stitches he is is in good shape and doing well….That was the word left by Mo at on his Facebook page…..Good to hear the good news and to know that he is OK…..He took a hard shot line drive shot to the head off the bat of Dillon Ward…..
