  1. I hate to beat a dead horse, sources tell me that Coach Brewington is stepping down as the coach at Ben L. Smith. Why wouldn’t he? I have followed Smith for a long time I had kids that attended Smith. I have seen a sense of pride instilled back into that program. This young man has come in and done a magnificant job at Smith 2008(0-11) 2009(5-7,playoffs) 2010(10-2, conference champions, playoffs). 2009 102 Jamz Coach of the Year, News-Record Coach of the Year, Greensboro Sports Coach of the Year 2010 Metro 4A Coach of the Year. 2011 NCHSAA Speaker at the coaches Clinic. I am very proud of the young man. We have been blessed to have him at Smith for the time we did, the next program he goes to is getting a proven winner.
