Clint Moore(Grimsley HS/Army) named to the Patriot League All-Conference team for the 4th straight year and nominated again for the Brooks Wallace Award

Clint Moore, from Grimsley High School and the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, has been named to the Patriot League All-Conference team for the fourth consecutive season and he has been nominated for the Brooks Wallace Award, given annually to the nation’s top collegiate shortstop, for a second time….

Clint Moore, who was named a quarterfinalist for the prestigious Brooks Wallace Award for the second time in three years last Friday, has produced some of the Black Knights’ best power numbers this season with 10 home runs, 10 doubles, 44 RBI and a .550 slugging percentage.

The all-star shortstop did the bulk of his damage during the Patriot League schedule, hitting .297 with a .622 slugging percentage, seven home runs and 22 RBI in conference contests. He listed second in the conference with those seven round-trippers and 22 RBI in league play. His sparkling .984 fielding percentage in league games was also among the best on the team.

The Greensboro, N.C., native has rewritten the Academy’s offensive record books during his time at West Point, and already stands as Army’s all-time leader in home runs (34), RBI (181), doubles (50), runs scored (169), total bases (405), slugging percentage (.594) and multiple-RBI games (53). He also lists third all-time at Army with 12 triples and 229 base hits.
