  1. Carl.
For your info no wheels fell of the wagon over at west forsyth.was u there to tell me how u.can say that.I don’t think so.Just another nobody wanting to talk trash.just so u know it was a well played game from both teams.

  2. Just my opinion, and in no way is this comment meant to disparag anyone, but SWG historically has great pitching and does not hit the ball well enough to beat top notch playoff teams with good pitching. It has been 10+ years since their last team(s) that could pitch and hit well enough to win it all (and yes I remember their team from 4-5 years ago)—–they had dominant pitching and could not “hit a lick”!!

  3. Thnak you Eddie Willis, They cant hit a lick. You can’t preach pitching all the time. They need someone that knows a little about hitting.

  4. I was at the game. Extremely well played game by both teams. Great pitching and a huge defensive play to end the game for West Forsyth. You would never know Orth was coming back from an injury. He kept the hitters off balance all afternoon. One key defensive error by SWG led to the first run. WF started Morgan on the mound. SWG started the first inning with two hits but could not get a run across. Brett Morgan (wingate) looked to be in control until the 4th inning when he loaded the bases with two outs. WF brings in Ryan Mayhew (uncw) and he gets a strikeout to end the inning. Mayhew would dominate the rest of the game giving up only one infield hit in the 7th inning. Had at least 5 or 6 strikeouts. The 2nd baseman for WF (Humphrey) makes a diving stop to his left by Orth to end the game with runners in scoring position. SWG has nothing to be ashamed of. They played a great game. It’s going to be tough on any opponent if WF can run those two pitchers out in the same game. Without question, they are both Div. 1 pitchers. I think WF had 5 hits and no errors. SWG had 4 hits and 1 error.

  5. Hey (aka Carl) why would u write can’t remember the error under sombody else’s name .The wagon did not write it u did.because like I said u was not at the game.. You don’t need to know should have come to the game and seen for yourself. And Carl I just assume you were the greatest hitter of all time, that’s why you are.on here bashing young high school kids. Get a life.

  6. We have three teams left now with NEG, SEG and NWG….Time to shift the focus on to those schools……All three due back in action on Tuesday…..Doesn’t matter now what happened yesterday, that day is gone……No time to look back, must on….I have been around professional baseball clubhouses and that is what they tell us down there……You get beat 7-0 one day, and it’s time to hit the road or had back to home park again the next day and re-group and do it again….(I have been around those dugouts too and believe me, it gets hot and humid down there on a day like this……)

Haven’t even see an avail newspaper laying around today, but we can look at it best as here, and load up the truck and start getting ready for Tuesday……

NEG, SEG and NWG, you have it now go get it…..

  7. wheres the respect for private schools? weslyan, hpca, weslyan are still in the playoffs… i know they dont have as many teams as public school but all three of these teams can compete with all the schools you mention… i just think its a little unfair for none of these school to get a mention in an article

  8. “all three of these teams can compete with all the schools you mention”
Duh, I guess so, since they have no attendance zones to comply with, and can play any player, no matter where he lives.

  9. Good point, we had Westchester and Caldwell’s scores up here on Friday night and both have done a very good job of sending us scores this season/year…

Wesleyan, HPCA and others need to get on the stick and start sending us their results……It hurts them when they don’t send, cause this is where the people/readers come to get the scores……
