Congratulations to Corey Williamson(Dudley HS) headed to N.C. Central to join the Eagles

Cory Williamson (Dudley High School) signed a National Letter of Intent on Monday of this week, for a baseball Scholarship at Division I North Carolina Central University…..

Corey, who played second base for the Dudley Panthers, in his early years and then he became the shortstop for the Panthers, in this his senior season….

One of the highlight games for Corey this season, was one that we attended and saw Corey hit two home runs, LONG GONE over the right field fence at Page High School, to lift the Panthers to a big win over the Pirates….Corey got up under both of those well hit balls and just lifted them over the fence, in right…..

Corey will join several Dudley Panther teammates that have made their way down to Durham, to join the N.C. Central Eagles, after the past couple of Panther baseball seasons….

  1. CONGRATULATIONS COREY. I KNOW YOU WILL DO WELL AT NCCU. COREY IS NOT ONLY A FINE BASEBALL PLAYER, HE IS A WELL ROUNDED YOUNG MAN. HE IS VERY RESPECTFUL TO OTHERS AND ALSO A EXCELLENCE STUDENT. HE COMES FROM A VERY GOOD FAMILY THAT I KNOW IS VERY PROUD OF HIM. THE ONE I WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO CARRY WITH YOU TO NCCU IS THIS. KEEP THAT ADDITUDE YOU HAD WHEN YOU WERE A FRESHMEN AT DUDLEY(WHEN I COACH YOU) WHEN YOU WALK ON CENTRALS CAMPUS. EVEN THOUGH I YOU WILL BE THE YOUNG KID ON THE BLOCK KNOW YOU CAN PLAY RIGHT AWAY.

    GOOD LUCK.
    COACH PHILLIPS.

  2. Way to go Corey…I had the pleasure in coaching Corey at the NCBA from 12 – 13u AAU. Corey was a great kid full of energy, always wanting more. Also, what made him a great player he has a great family.
    Good Luck..
    Coach Mark
