Caldwell Academy closes out baseball season with close loss to Kerr Vance in the Final Four

Caldwell had its hands full with ECU-signee John Allen for five innings, but
rallied for two runs in the sixth inning after a pitching change which
forced starter John Allen back into the game. Grant Gillespie singled to
center to score the third run of the inning. In the sixth inning Caldwell
loaded the bases on Pitt CC signee Cameron Capel and Nico Mancuso cleared
them with a 3RBI double. Mancuso would be stranded on third as the Eagle
rallied ended just short.

Caldwell finishes the season 17-6 which is a school record for wins and it
was their second consecutive trip to the playoffs and first to the final
four. Caldwell graduates 7 seniors, two of which are starters.
