Major delays at the ACC Baseball Tournament:Play will not start back until 6pm this evening(FSU-Ga. Tech moved to Saturday at 9am)

DURHAM, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship Committee has announced that the Virginia/Miami game will resume at 6 p.m. this evening (weather permitting) at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The game was interrupted by a severe thunderstorm in the bottom of the second inning with Miami leading 2-0.

The committee also decided that the North Carolina/Wake Forest game, originally scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, will be played following the completion of the Virginia/Miami game.

The game between Florida State and Georgia Tech, originally scheduled for 3 p.m. this afternoon, has been moved to a 9 a.m. starting time on Saturday, May 28, 2011. Tickets for Friday’s Florida State/Georgia Tech game will be honored on Saturday.

The three games scheduled for Saturday – Clemson/NC State, Miami/Wake Forest and Virginia/North Carolina – will be played in their original order following the Florida State/Georgia Tech game. There will be a 40-minute intermission between each game.

The ACC’s Regional Sports Network television partners will continue to provide live coverage of all remaining games.
