Rumblings about the MLB Draft coming this Monday with Tobias(SEG) in the mix

Names that are being circulated for the upcoming MLB Draft on Monday include: shortstop Levi Michael(North Davidson HS/UNC) and we have seen his name as high as #21 overall and also at #33 in some mock drafts, plus high schoolers Dillon Maples(Pinecrest HS), Adam Griffin(Forsyth Country Day School), Brett Austin(Matthews HS), Benton Moss(Rocky Mount) and we have been tracking Clint Moore(Grimsley HS/Army) and Josh Tobias(Southeast Guilford HS) has remained in the mix for Monday…..

from WRALSportsFan.com:

Two position players that are seemingly SEC bound may also hear their names called on Monday night. Florida commit Josh Tobias from Southeast Guilford H.S. and South Carolina commit Mikal Hill from Mallard Creek H.S. are each switch-hitting infielders with tremendous upside. Tobias has a little more pop with the bat, especially from the right side, while Hill is more of a contact guy with great field skills.

  1. Andy…I know most of the guys you listed are high draft prospect guys but a few guys from East Forsyth are going to be in the draft as well…Kenny Swab (EF ’07/Young Harris/Virginia) Will probably be drafted as a catcher and also Ryan Dull (EF ’08/UNC-Asheville) both guys will be in the draft next week. Kenny is on a run to Omaha after being named to the All Tournament team in the ACC tournament and Ryan has just arrived in Alaska to play for the Mat-Su Miners in the Alaskan Baseball League!

  2. GTCC’s #1 pitcher this year, Matt Dillon (Trinity HS), also has a very good shot at getting picked up this week in the Draft. He is currently playing for the HiToms in the Coastal Plains League and has signed to play at NAIA powerhouse Tennessee Wesleyan next year.
