www.mlb.com on Hand vs. Braves last night:
Brad Hand, making his Major League debut, certainly rose to the occasion, giving up one hit while striking out six in six innings. The unfortunate part for the 21- year-old is the lone hit was a home run to Alex Gonzalez.

The blast was one of two Braves hits and provided all the support they needed to clip the Marlins, 1-0, in front of 13,302 at Sun Life Stadium.

With their season-long losing streak now at six games, the Marlins fell one game behind the Braves and into third place in the division.

“We wasted another good outing by a pitcher,” Marlins manager Edwin Rodriguez said. “Brad Hand was very impressive. His poise, he looked like he’s been in the big leagues for a long time. He was outstanding.”
