from Thursday night at Stoner White:
High Point Central 13
Northeast Guilford 4

Zach McLean had a double to score Will Johnson and Kendrick came up with several key hits, to help blow the game open for Central and this game featured a 12 minute electrical lightning delay and when Donnie Stowe was able to detect that the lightning flash was 40 miles away, he then told the umpires to get back on the field and proceed and get the game completed and it ended at 10:31pm, just few minutes beyond the scheduled 2-hour time limit for Colt Curfew…..Good decision on Mr. Stowe’s part and it doesn’t take an Eric Chilton on-site meteorologist, to see what is or isn’t falling or hitting, at Stoner-White Stadium….Good job by D. Stowe and the men in blue, to get this game through, and still beat the curfew(Delay time factored in.)……..Otherwise, they may have stopped the game for lightning air strikes and then they would have still been playing at 2(am)………..
