Wilson would-be winner in Wisconsin:Russell does “The Hustle” and becomes a Badger

Russell Wilson will still have to complete his commitment to the Colorado Rockies/Asheville Tourists, or pay them back the $250,000.00 that he received for his signing bonus……The Wisconsin Badgers say that they like to develop quarterbacks, well here’s one that is ready to go on hut-one, hut-two…….Wilson waiting in the wings and down, set, hike on August 1, or right after he got picked off of first base, on June 26…….
*****We get word late this afternoon that Russell Wilson has left the Asheville Tourtists and he is therefore seemingly done with baseball and done with the Rockies and he will be joining the Wisconsin Badgers on time, on schedule…….Maybe he should have let N.C. State know this last winter……Wilson has thrown his professional baseball career out the door and now it will be all or none football…..Seems a little bit confusing, but for some reason, I don’t think this saga is anywhere near over yet…..Was looking forward to seeing Russell Wilson, when the Tourists come to town in July(to meet the Greensboro Grasshoppers in 2 weeks from now)….Now we will have to wait and watch Wilson in Madison(Wisconsin)……..*****

MADISON, Wisconsin–Russell Wilson has committed to Wisconsin and plans to play football for the Badgers and attend graduate school at UW beginning this fall, head coach Bret Bielema announced Monday.

“Russell will come in and compete for the starting quarterback position,” Bielema said. “This is an unusual situation, especially for a program that prides itself on developing players throughout their careers, as we do here at Wisconsin. However, this is a special situation and Russell is the type of player and person that fits very well with our team.”

Wilson played quarterback for three seasons at NC State before playing baseball this summer with the Asheville Tourists in the Colorado Rockies farm system. In his three seasons with the Wolfpack, Wilson earned All-ACC honors each year and threw for 8,545 yards and 76 touchdowns (against just 26 interceptions). That yardage total is third-best in NC State history and his TD total is second-best in school annals and third-best in ACC history.

State and Wisconsin…..Everything about their color schemes, seems eerily similar…..The Red and White are almost the same sight, on different sites……You should see the crowd in Madison(Wisconsin)…..It looks just Carter-Finley Stadium in Raleigh…..This is like something out a Ron Shelton movie and it is weird for Wilson, but Russell was in a tussle and he showed some muscle and now he will get his chance to be and build up a Badger football program…..Only one year to do it, but this isn’t Rome, this is Madison, Wisconsin……Go to the huddle and hit your knees and then say Cheese Please……And if you can do that it a timely manner, you might be waving the Big Ten/(11 or 12) Championship Banner……………….
