Greensboro Colt Tournament Finals tonight at War Memorial Stadium

Greensboro Colt Baseball Tournament Championship Game tonight at 7pm, at War Memorial Stadium……..

#1 Jamestown vs. #2 Dudley……Great way to close out the Tournament, with #1 vs. #2 and the two teams met in the last game of the Regular Season and Jamestown won that contest to earn the #1 Seed in this year’s tournament…….

In that Jamestown-Dudley regular season Title game, played back on Thursday June 30, Jamestown topped Dudley 6-0…..Winning pitcher was Matt Horkey for Jamestown and losing pitcher was Corey Kimber for Dudley…..Jamestown scored all six of their runs in the 3rd inning and Jamestown finished the game, with 6 runs on 6 hits and one error, while Dudley could only come up with one hit versus Horkey and that was a ground ball that just got in, and went down the right field line…..Dudley, just like Jamestown, committed one error in the game……

The re-match tonight at 7pm at War Memorial Stadium……..We’ll look for you at tonight’s Championship Game……

  1. I think Jamestown will win tonight just like they did in the regular season game. Maybe another 6-0 for Jamestown win. Jamestown did not play all that good on Sunday but they still won. High Point Central was playing their best game ever and Jamestown still won. Look for Jamestown again tonight with a 5-0 or 6-0 game. Dudley is a good team but not like Jamestown. Numbers and lots of talent in Jamestown. Jamestown will win tonight.

  2. A lot will depend on who pitches for Jamestown. Horkey and Ambrose just threw back to back complete games. Horkey might be good to close an inning late but they’ll need Sparks or Carstens or a wholestaff effort (which may not cut it against Dudley)

  3. Just in case you didn’t come to the game Ben, DUDLEY WON!!! 12-0….DUDLEY and Jamestown started off slow but it was DUDLEY that came to play and shifted their game to another gear. Unlike the first game where errors and bad calls (foul ball to right field with the bases loaded) cost DUDLEY a win. DUDLEY was determined not to let mistakes keep them from a win. Corey Kimber pitched another superb game (11 k’s) and this time DUDLEY’S TALENT backed him up with hitting.
