  1. CONGRATULATIONS DUDLEY PANTHERS on winning The Colt Tournament Championship. Wow!! What a dominating display of hitting, pitching, defense, base running and of course coaching.

  2. Not sure of the first base coach, but the third base coach and team manager/coach is Lewis Allen, I believe….He has really got the kids attention and he is a wake-up call type coach…..He stays on the kids, but it has paid off……Julian Spruiell may have ended up with 5 RBI’s instead of 3 with his RBI single, a two-run single and the HR, I believe was a two-run homer…..

Great effort by the Dudley kids and for Jamestown, they just ran out of pitching and then they ran into a buzzsaw in Dudley…….

  3. Thanks for the compliments, but I have been blessed by the baseball gods for having such good kids.

  4. I have no “skin in the game” from last night but WHY was this coach stealing bases up 10 runs? That’s not baseball etiqutte!

  5. Good win by the Panthers last night. The Dudley kids are as good as they come. Nice, polite kids. Kimber is a nice kid and has a good arm to boot. The last 2 games between these two teams are a contrast. Ragsdale won last week 6-0 as Horkey 1 hit Dudley. Last night Dudley won 12-0 as Kimber 2 hit the Tigers. I expect Kimber to dominate. He’s a rising senior against primarily rising 8th and 9th graders. Still, he was very impressive. Ragsdale did not have a ton of pitching available as Horkey threw 2 days ago and Carstens is at Showcase in East Cobb and Sparks just pitched in showcase over the weekend. This topic goes back to the thread above. As long as Colt is on the weekends you’re going to lose the better players to showcase. Colt has become the venue for developing younger players. Older players with talent have little choice but to seek other venues.

The straight steal up 12-0 and the delayed steal with runners on 1st and 3rd while up 12-0 is not surprising if you know Louis Allen. Over the years you learn to ignore him. While his coaching tactics are debateable he does provide guidance to many boys in the community.
