NC Gaters drop two games on Sunday at Hampton, Virginia, but still finish in Top 20 at AAU Nationals with (5-2) mark

The North Carolina Gaters lost 59-39 to the Primetime Select from New Orleans in the
Sweet 16 of the 12& Under Division I AAU National basketball championship in
Hampton, VA. Later, in a consolation game, the Gaters fell to Team Izod from New
Jersey by the score of 78-65. Against Primetime Select, Kameron Langley had 11
points and 6 assists while Reggie Davis added 8 points and 8 rebounds. Against Team
Izod, Langley again led the Gaters with 22 points and 5 assists, Davis had 12 points
and 7 rebounds and John Newman had 10 Points and 6 rebounds. Tyeren Melton added
eight points off the bench. The Gaters finished the tournament 5-2 and secured a Top
20 finish out of 92 teams.

  1. Were there any other teams in this area that played at the Nationals besides the Gaters? If so, how did they do?
