Talking football/sports at the Subway on Summit Avenue

Ran into former Dudley Panther Kelton Shepherd today, at the Subway on Summit and he said watch for Dudley’s All-Conference LB #51, at N.C. A&T this season…..Shepherd has transferred in from Elizabeth City State University, with three years eligibility remaining and he is ready to play for the Aggies….

Shepherd said LB Major Bryant, #10 in his Dudley days, is out in California and will be attending a junior college…..JR Peterson, #28 and a runningback while at Dudley, was looking into playing out in California, but now he has decided not to play football this season…..

Former Dudley QB Ricky Lewis, is now a slotback at N.C. A&T and he will still take some snaps in the Aggie offense, but from the wildcat spot and not as the Aggie QB…..

N.C. A&T football practice is due to start up next week and Shepherd said that were set to start this week, but new coach Rod Broadway said he wanted to give the players a week to think about it and make sure that they were mentally ready when they hit the field, next week……Have your mind, heart and soul, ready to roll…..
