Overall the other bracket was stronger as shown by the CA romp over a team we barely beat and the PR win. I wa disappointed in the overall level of play. It was almost like there were two distinct levels of baseball or even three. If we had not allowed players on the team without meeting the established participation rules, then we would not be competitive either. Overall coaching was good. I would have pinch run for Reader with men on 1st and 3rd and one out, but the coaches can’t be expected to lay down a sacrifice bunt—a PR bunt led to their big rally. Just another year of colt league officials thinking they are going to win the CWS, and they get disappointed because they are unrealistic. My last trip, and if it were my money, I would quit sending teams up there for $10,000 and join another organization. We need to face the future and stop living in the past.

Who is “I was there”? What organization and what is the future for Greensboro?

  • Other Stuff said,

The other bracket definitely had the 2 strongest teams and to add insult to injury, Los Gatos, CA just scored 11 runs in the first inning against Puerto Rico in the championship game.

  • Other Stuff said,

CA dominates Puerto Rico early and easily coasts to 17-7victory in capturing CWS title
