Update on Brett Bowden, the HS football player with Down Syndrome and what he can and can not do this season
Hobbton High School and the family of Brett Bowden reached an agreement Thursday that will allow the 19-year-old junior to lead his football team onto the field on game day and participate in pre- and post-game activities, according to a statement from the Sampson County School System.

In the statement, the school system said Bowden’s parents essentially agreed that his place on the team could conform to a state Board of Education rule.
