Furyk is 25th in the official world golf rankings and 73rd in the current
FedExCup point standings. He has two top-10 finishes among his 13 made cuts

2004. His best finish came in 1999 when he finished in second place.

“Adding Jim Furyk is a powerful addition to a very strong field,” Wyndham
Championship tournament director Mark Brazil said. “In my 10 years, this is
by far the best field we’ve had here. The Wyndham will be a treat for
Piedmont Triad golf fans. There’s no doubt we’ll have some for the biggest
names in golf here, and I can’t wait for the competition to get started next
week.”

Players have until 5 p.m. today or 30 minutes after they complete
second-round play in the PGA Championship to commit to the Wyndham field.
In addition, they may withdraw from the field any time prior to the
commitment deadline or after the PGA Championship if they feel their
performance in the season’s final major changed their FedExCup standing.
