Currys to play in Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am at the Wyndham Championship

DELL AND STEPHEN CURRY WILL PLAY IN KEVIN HARVICK FOUNDATION PRO-AM

Monday Qualifying Tournament set for Greensboro Country Club

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Former NBA star Dell Curry and his son Stephen of the NBA
Golden State Warriors will be among the amateur golfers playing in Monday’s
Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am presented by Technology Concepts & Design,
Inc. The 72nd annual Wyndham Championship presented by BB&T is set for
Aug, 15-21 at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

Stephen Curry played three seasons for the Davidson Wildcats and led the
nation in scoring with 28.6 points per game in the 2008-09 NCAA men’s
basketball season. He entered the NBA draft following his junior year and
was selected by the Golden State Warriors as the seventh overall pick. Last
season, Curry averaged 18.6 points and 3.90 rebounds per game. He is an
alumnus of Charlotte Christian School.

Stephen Curry’s father, Dell, retired from the NBA in 2002 after a 16-year
career during which he played 11 seasons for the former Charlotte Hornets.
He served as an assistant coach for the Charlotte Bobcats in 2007 and is an
alumnus of Virginia Tech University where is a member of the Hall of Fame.

In addition, among the PGA TOUR golfers playing in the Kevin Harvick
Foundation Pro-Am will be two-time major championship winner John Daly.
Harvick, the Currys and Daly will not be playing together, but all four are
competing on Monday. Kevin Harvick Foundation Pro-Am tee times begin at 10
a.m. on Monday.

While the Kevin Harvick Foundation pro-am is going on, other golfers will be
trying to make the Wyndham field across town at the Greensboro Country Club
Farm Course. The top-four finishers in Monday’s qualifying tournament will
fill the final four spots in the Wyndham Championship. One year ago, Arjun
Atwal joined the Wyndham field through the qualifying tournament and went
onto win the 2010 Wyndham Championship. Tee times begin at 7:30 Monday
morning.

Contested annually on the Donald Ross-designed course at Sedgefield Country
Club in Greensboro, N.C., the Wyndham Championship was founded in 1938 and
is the seventh oldest event on the PGA TOUR. Tickets are available at
