Burlington Williams’ quarterback taken to UNC Hospital with WFMY and WXII reports and game video from Friday night

A Burlington Williams High School football player remained hospitalized Monday after being taken to the hospital on Sunday.

Information on why Harry Cohen, a senior who plays quarterback on the team, was taken to UNC Hospital was not released.

Williams High was observing as normal a school day as possible Monday, said Alamance-Burlington Schools spokeswoman Jenny Faulkner.

Harry Cohen was taken to the hospital Sunday morning. Alamance-Burlington School spokesperson Jenny Faulkner did not provide any information related to Cohen’s condition.

Cohen led the team Friday night to a 27-17 victory over Southern Alamance.

WFMY News 2 was at the game and captured video of Cohen being hit as he ran for the Bulldogs final score in the 4th quarter. He laid on the ground for a few minutes, but then was able to get up and is seen walking off the field smiling.

It is not known if this or any of the hits Cohen took in the game is related to his being in the hospital.
