Middle School coach goes MAD after football practice

A Landis middle school coach is facing several felony charges and a $100,500 bond after he allegedly choked a player, assaulted a parent and brought a handgun in his truck onto school grounds.

Jared John Gallagher, 40, a teacher assistant and assistant football coach at Corriher-Lipe Middle School in the Rowan County town of Landis, was arrested Thursday after he allegedly attempted to choke a player after practice on the first day of school and assaulted a parent who tried to stop him, The Salisbury Post reported.

    I know that children (especially now-a-days) have the propensity to try your patience. Howwever, this was totally unacceptable. I’m also glad that the parents decided to follow the law instead of taking it into their own hands.
