We’ve got an Unreal team in Greensboro:Those Grasshopper guys do it again, down 7-1 and they battle back to win the game 10-7, on Tuesday night

Mano, mano, Lisa Mano couldn’t have called it better, those Greensboro Grasshoppers have been UNREAL, the past week….Not only winning 8 out of 9 games, in the last home stand of the regular season, but Mark Canha connects on another home run on Tuesday night and the Hoppers win again in unbelievable fashion, after being down 7-1, they rally back to win the game 10-7, on Canha’s three-run homer…..The Hoppers scored six runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win this game….

Mark Canha ends up with a Grand Slam and two three-run home runs, in the Hoppers final home stand of the year…..He closes the home phase of his 2011 season with 24 long-balls/dingers…..The Hoppers go an Unreal (45-26) at home this season and stand at (75-59) overall, for the year….

Unreal, unreal, unreal…..That’s all you can say about how this thing went down….Home stand went something like this, as we look back at the nine games:
4-3 Hoppers Monday August 23 over West Virginia….
10-9 West Virginia Tuesday….
3-1 Hoppers on Wednesday….
5-4 Hoppers on Thursday in 19 innings….
5-4 Hoppers on Friday over Delmarva….
9-8 Hoppers on Saturday….
6-0 Hoppers on Sunday….
8-0 Hoppers on Monday….
10-7 Hoppers on Tuesday….

Unreal, unreal, unreal…..Mano, mano, where is Lisa Mano??? This has been one heck of season and the final home game just about took the cake, with that 6-run deficit and then the Mark Canha home run, to bring home three, to win the game by three runs…Danny Black had a big night with his 4-4 output at the plate, Isaac Galloway went 3-4, Christian Yelich was 2-4 and Noah Perio went 2-4, as the Grasshoppers banged out 15 hits…..Greg Nappo, Chris Shaffer, Miguel Mejia and Michael Brady towed the line, after Hoppers starting pitcher Robert Morey got roughed up early and had to leave the game, with just 2 1/3 innings of work…..

Mejia got the win, Brady the save and all-in-all, a great way to close out the season……

Looks like, “That suckers Lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng GONE” is gone for this year and you might just say after last night, “That was it, but was it?”………(Will there be another home game in 2011?) We’ll just have to wait and see if the South Atlantic League Playoffs might be coming to Greensboro, in 2011……..
