  1. Someone has the scored wrong. Page is up 21 to 3 and we’re getting ready to score again

  2. whoa

check out that Grimsley – NWG score. The meltdown from Oak Ridge will be epic if that score holds.

Looks like I missed the first half fireworks skipping the Ragsdale game tonight.

NW 20 Grimsley 12 3rd Q The great NW coaches have adjusted to the gimmick Grimsley offense

Was it the Grimsley gimmick offense that held Northwest to only six first half points?

  4. HPC had a chance to score they were down @ the 1 yd line but didn’t capatalize. Drewjust ran for about 23 yds. Look like we may score again.

  5. I’m telling you Jim you better call Todd back…SEG won. As much as Andy wants the crown this week he missed it on SEG. I smell those hot and nows cooking.

  6. Got the Southern Guilford-Southeast Guilford score adjusted….SEG the winner…..

Daniel Downing and TJ Logan led the NG Nighthawk offense and Ryan Johnson, Jon McBeth, Mark Mitchell, Tre Purcell, led the Northern defense…Ryan Johnson was in the the Dudley offensive backfield all night long….Johnson had close to 10 tackles in the first half……

TJ Logan on an end around for a three-yard TD, TJ Logan on a 17 yard pass play from Daniel Downing for a TD…..Austin Hoke on a 27 yard FG…..Daniel Downing on a 2 yard run and there was one more NG TD…..

Dudley scored on a 55 yard pass play from Richard Hayes to Jonathan McCain……Two-point conversion run by Hayes for the Dudley 8 points…..

Daniel Downing was running like John Riggins tonight…..He was extremely strong and one time he ran over a Dudley defender and it was like watching a freight train run over a hedgehog……At least 100 yards rusing for Downing and just as many for Logan…….On punt returns, Danel returned four that traveled about 15-20 yards each and then he took them at least 15-20 more yards back up the field, from his up-back spot in the punt return formation……

Northern was looking real strong and that NWG at NG game should be real good one next Friday night……Daniel Downing and TJ Logan have it together for Northern Giuilford and Dudley is trying to find itself early in this season……

Just a few thoughts and notes on the game…..

  7. (ME)-“Debo–Who in your opinion is your biggest opponent?” (Debo)-“Our next opponent. It’s ALWAYS our NEXT opponent..whomever that may be…”

    Love it!

Congratulations to the Page Pirates Varsity and JV for their victories last night and tonight!! OK….3-0 (each team). Let’s put these behind us and look to next week. That’s going to be a stunner. I think it’ll measure at LEAST a 7.0 on the Richter scale.

  8. I just might be a little biased on this one…..Jamal Petty from SEG for player of the week honors. Jamal scored 4 of SEG’s 5 TDs (3rushing and 1 receiving). He had over 100 yds rushing and about 40 yds receiving.

  9. I think Page’s defense will have its hands full next week with Ragsdale’s QB. Last night, Central was able to move the ball through the air, especially in the second half. Of course, the game was out of reach by then. But still, Page will really have to get that pass rush cranked up. It’s going to be a hell of a game.

Ragsdale’s big problem is how do they stop James Summers or Drew Rogers? Time and time again last night, Rogers just ran right over would-be tacklers. Summers’ running ability is well-known, but last night he stepped up his passing game, 8-15, 2 TDs and no interceptions. His stats would have been better had it not been for several drops on very catchable passes.

Good luck to both teams and Go Pirates!

  10. For everyone who was doubting this sw football team look what they did, everybody ran the ball hard last night including larry edwards and ray bridges…and this team won without 7 starters…..and i mean it 7 5 because of suspensions and 2 to injurys…
this team is back on it’s feet and watch out..
down 20-6 at halftime came to win 39-20

  11. they said that we couldnt do it they took five players from us and the playoffs but they didnt take football from us
GREAT COMEBACK COWBOYS LETS PROVE THEM WRONG

  12. Panthers – 0 and 3
    Woe is me

But I will keep hope alive
Have to get control of that line of scrimmage

  13. They didn’t take 5 players and the playoffs from you. YOU did it to YOURSELVES! Try taking some RESPONSIBILITY for your actions. I congratulate those kids from SWG who played their hearts out on Friday night. I salute those kids who maintained their composure the previous weekend and showed some self discipline. All student athletes are responsible for their behavior on the field, court, pitch, etc. When you violate those rules, you and your team pay for your actions.

  14. Ditto Damon. I understand you guys are happy that you beat Ledford but it is getting to be a little much when you keep pouring it on. You might want to be a little reserved since you embarrassd yourselves, your school, and this area so much the week before. Usually the stories of fights, ejections, and suspensions are coming out of the Charlotte paper and not the News and Record.

I would think you need to dedicate the rest of your season to trying learn a little about sportsmanship and try to gain back a little pride and dignity. You owe that to the players who did not get thrown out of last game for being thugs.
