*****The Grasshoppers lead the Best-of-Five Series 1-0 and game two will be tonight(Tuesday) at NewBridge Bank Park, at 7pm….

Monday heroes for the Hoppers….Mark Canha with the game-winning and game-tying RBI’s in the bottom of the ninth inning…..Marcell Ozuna with a super catch in right field, to save two runs for the Hoppers and starting pitcher Kyle Winters, in the top of the first inning and then he followed that up with his two-run home run, in the bottom of the first….Relief pitcher Alex Caldera was extremely strong/tough, coming out of the Hoppers’ bullpen, going 2 1/3 innings and giving up No Runs, on No Hits and he struck out 3 Gnats…Grant Dayton finished strong, working the eighth and ninth innings and he gave up the HR to Forsythe, but then settled in to secure the game and finish it off…..Christian Yelich and Marcell Oznua drew two key two-out walks, to keep the rally going in the bottom of the ninth inning, after Danny Black had reached in front of them on a fielder’s choice, right after Isaac Galloway’s lead off single….

Andy Haines was a hero, as was Kevin Randle, who took over after Andy got the hook, for arguing the umpire’s HR decision on a ball hit long and deep, but called foul, as Marcell Ozuna had to return to plate and continue his at-bat and then he proceeded to draw the key walk……

Danny Black scored the game-tying run, Ozuna the game-winning run and Mark Canha was credited with the game-tying and game-winning RBI’s…..Willy Glen becomes a Hopper Hero too, for his work with that Hopper pitching staff, that continues to give the team a chance to win each and every night…..And let’s not forget that solo HR by Ryan Fisher, that tied the game up at 3-all in the bottom of the fifth…..

Tuesday night can’t come soon enough, as the Hoppers look to close out their home portion of the playoff schedule, before heading to Savannah for Game Three on Thursday…..*****
